Procedure

Dr. Burgdorf will use a surgical marker to outline the treatment areas. Performed under IV sedation and local anesthesia to ensure total comfort, the VASER procedure begins with an injection of tumescent fluid. This solution numbs the site further, prevents excessive bleeding, and causes the targeted fat cells to swell so they can be removed by the VASER device easily. Using small incisions, Dr. Burgdorf will insert the VASER probe through the incisions. It will emit ultrasound waves that break down the fat deposits and suction them out to reveal your ideal body contours.

Recovery

After your procedure, Dr. Burgdorf will give you a compression garment to wear over the treatment areas. This will reduce swelling and help with the healing process. Ice packs can alleviate bruising, swelling, and discomfort. Many patients can return to work within the first week and do more strenuous activities after a few weeks. You will need to take regular walks to ensure adequate circulation after your VASER Hi-Def Lipo procedure.
